The Social Journey (ages 2-4)
As this journey is aimed at younger children there is more room for adult involvement. We encourage parents to read the picture book with their child and help them, if needed, to complete the exercises in the activity book. We always encourage parents to talk to their children about the words they are learning because research has proven this really helps aid retention.
The Narrative Journey (ages 6-13)
The daily exercise is designed so that it can be completed independently by children who are readers. For children who are still mastering reading, they will need a parent or helper with sufficient reading skills to understand how to get started.
We always encourage parents to engage in conversation with their children about the words, in order to reinforce their learning. Just 5 minutes a day will make a significant difference to their reading and writing ability.
Storyteller's Illustrated Dictionary (ages 8-13)
This is a great reference book for a child to use completely independently. With the book broken down into our 6 key narrative themes, the contents, detailed index, and glossary are designed to make it extremely easy for a child to find any word they may be looking for, by themself.
As with all our products, we really encourage discussion and debate about our words, as this helps reinforce what the child has learned.
